Visit Youth Seminar Geispolsheim

This Saturday, January 29, 2011, the young Geispolsheim s s e preparing for the Profession of Faith and for Confirmation came Seminar to visit our house and discover the life of seminarians. Johan (3 th year) and Charles (2 th year) welcomed them and led them through our various places of living, meet, work together, study ... without forgetting the two Sisters of Charity who share our daily life, large library of historic XVIII th we did visit the Librarian Mr. Schlaeffli, services and diocesan students living in our house.

The visit gave us an opportunity to tell our activities, the program of the week, the training we receive. She has especially taken to discuss our personal life journey. Young people were able to discover and verify that there is no minimum level of study to enter the seminary. Some of us are bakers, other technicians. Some have passed the baccalaureate both sides come with higher education qualifications.

Throughout the tour, we were able to show the importance for us to stay connected to news of the world through access to a press release, weekly Internet. M ais the importance of our activities outside the Seminar on weekends, in our respective parishes, outings, recreation, contact with friends ... Communicate, train, and simply "living in Church", with brothers community, and also with other a major challenge for the life of a seminarian.

Once again, we realized the importance of such meetings to "demystify" the image of the seminarian and the "misconceptions" or "bad information" that can have on the reality of a major seminary.
